Sync failed or stuck on “syncing”—what do I do?
AnswerRead the status before you retry. The Copy “article sync log” is the same job list as the master. Badges: waiting, syncing, in drafts, waiting for you to publish, published, success, failed. If the extension already wrote and the page still spins, import extension history. Same if nothing moves for about three minutes. This is the generic path; WeChat WeChat, Toutiao Toutiao, Eastmoney Eastmoney.
Import history, then decide on retry
The extension writes drafts in this Chrome. The cloud row may still say syncing. After history lands, do not treat in-draft or published as a failure or you may get two posts. Overview: sync.
Only then read the error. Common: extension missing, console signed out, site form changed. Check drafts on Accounts. Install: install the extension. All jobs also sit under Sync in the left nav.
Failed on the page is not always missing on the site
Some consoles already have the draft and are slow to report back. Search the title in that admin. If the draft is there, do not sync again.
Paid placement is a different lane: placement. Article sync success is not a short-video upload; see short video.
Do this
- Open this article and read the sync-log badges.
- If it still says syncing, import extension history before you retry.
- On Accounts, confirm the extension is ready and that site is signed in for drafts.
- Retry only rows that still failed. Open in-draft rows on the site and publish yourself.
Short answers
- Is “waiting for you to publish” a failure?
- No. The draft is already in the console. The publish button is yours so it is not sent by mistake.
- Another computer still shows syncing?
- The extension and login live on this Chrome. Install again, sign into the consoles, check drafts. The cloud will not keep writing for you.
